LITERACY
LINKS TRAINING PROGRAM
We can deliver
to your instructional staff the professional development necessary
to further develop their capacity to maximize key reading skills
and believe we could have a significant impact on your instructional
teams.
The training
structure is based on the utilization of modeling, guided practice
and independent practice. During the Literacy Links Training Program
participants will develop a core knowledge base in phonological
and phonemic awareness. As professionals you can generalize these
concepts to each unique setting. Participants will also learn an
array of activities to include; sound production, built in review,
introduction of new ideas, tracking, repeat reading, close procedure,
response to text and reading comprehension. The program has been
designed to help professionals actively engage bottom up processors
orthographic and phonological and top down processors context (syntactic,
semantic and contextual cueing) and meaning.
The cost of
the Literacy Links Training program is $599 per individual. The
ideal number of participants is 10 people. Literacy Links Training
program is 20 hours and can be delivered in 5 four hour sessions
or 10 two hour sessions as follows:
