RESULTS ARE
DOCUMENTED
The Literacy
Links program has a documented record of success at Calgary Academy,
where it has been used since 1981, and at charter schools such as
Amistad Academy in New Haven, Connecticut, which is a model for
success with inner-city children. Students who complete the Literacy
Links program routinely advance more than a grade level…a dramatic
improvement.
Measurement
is an integral part of the Literacy Links program. Before we accept
students into the clinic we administer norm-referenced tests to
make sure they are suitable candidates. These tests include WIAT
(Wechsler Individual Achievement Test), CTOPP (Comprehensive Test
of Phonological Processing) and other informal tests of phonological
awareness.
Once accepted
into the program, your child’s test results become the benchmark
of his or her initial reading abilities. The tests are repeated
after the course is completed to document progress. UROK Learning
Institute is focused on results. This is reflected in our policy
to go as fast as we can and as slow as we must.
