Reading Clinic Offers Individual One-on-one Instruction.

California June 10, 2010 UROK Learning Institute
today announced the availability of its affordable phonemic-awareness
reading program called Literacy Links. This research-based
program, proven to help children and adults who have trouble reading,
is offered at the UROK reading clinic located in Mission Valley.
"Literacy
Links gives students who have reading difficulty, or are performing
below their grade level, the tools necessary to be successful in
school," said Alex Urbano, President of UROK Learning Institute.
"Our reading clinic provides individual, one-on-one instruction
using a highly structured, sequential phonemic curriculum that incorporates
real reading and is customized to a student's needs. Research has
shown that most students who complete the Literacy Links course
improve their reading skills a full grade level. Some achieve even
more."
Literacy Links
was developed by Calgary Academy, North America's largest and most
successful learning disabilities school, which currently serves
more than 700 students from grades K through 12. UROK Learning Institute
is the only company in California authorized to offers Literacy
Links.
UROK Learning
Institute offers Literacy Links in a 30-hour program, presented
in fifteen two-hour sessions by certified Literacy Links clinicians.
Literacy Links can be augmented to assist students who have special
needs, or for whom English is a second language. A homework clinic
is also offered for students needing extra time and assistance with
their studies.
